This Privacy Policy explains how Remodelr (“Remodelr,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Remodelr iOS app (the “App”). Remodelr is an estimating and job-management tool for residential remodeling contractors.
Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique Apple account identifier, and your name and email address if Apple provides them. We use this to create and maintain your account.
Project content you provide. To generate estimates, material takeoffs, and build plans, the App sends the project details you enter — such as job scope descriptions, project location (ZIP code), square footage, line items, and any job-site photos you attach — to our processing service (see “How your information is shared” below).
Subscription information. Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive confirmation of your subscription status from Apple, but we do not receive or store your payment card details.
Business data you create. Estimates, invoices, clients, subcontractors, plans, and similar records you create are stored locally on your device.
Technical information. Our server infrastructure may automatically log standard technical data such as IP address and timestamps for security and reliability. We do not use this for advertising or tracking.
How we use your information
To provide the App's core features — generating estimates, material takeoffs, and build plans from the information you submit.
To authenticate you and keep you signed in.
To verify your subscription and provide access to paid features.
To maintain the security, reliability, and integrity of the service.
How your information is shared
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only with the service providers needed to operate the App:
Anthropic. The project details and photos you submit for AI generation are sent to Anthropic, PBC, which provides the AI model that produces your estimates, takeoffs, and plans. This data is transmitted through our own secure server and processed by Anthropic to return a result.
Apple. Apple provides Sign in with Apple and processes subscription payments through the App Store.
Vercel. Our server (which holds our AI service credentials and relays your requests) is hosted on Vercel, our infrastructure provider.
Legal. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or others.
Note for QuickBooks: If a QuickBooks integration is available in your version of the App and you choose to connect it, approved estimates you push will be sent to Intuit QuickBooks, and the access tokens needed to maintain that connection are stored securely on our server. If your launch build does not include QuickBooks, delete this note before publishing.
Data storage and retention
Most of your business data is stored locally on your device and remains there unless you delete it or remove the App. Information sent for AI generation is transmitted to provide the requested result; we do not maintain a separate long-term archive of your project content beyond what is needed to deliver the service. Your account identifier is retained while your account is active.
Your choices and rights
You can sign out at any time within the App, which removes your locally stored credentials.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple App Store account settings.
You may request access to, or deletion of, the information associated with your account by contacting us at the email below.
Account and data deletion
You can delete the data stored on your device by deleting the App. To request deletion of your account and any associated information held on our server, contact us at the email below and we will process your request.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including transmitting data over encrypted connections and storing credentials in the device's secure Keychain. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
The App is intended for use by professionals and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
